Sex & Sexuality digital archive

Adam Matthew Digital has announced the publication of Sex & Sexuality, a collaboration between the digital publisher and the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction.

The Kinsey Institute’s Archives and Special Collections is one of the largest and most important collections in the world for the study of human sexuality. This primary source collection provides digital access to the Kinsey’s most important research collections, covering the work of prominent sex researchers such as Harry Benjamin and John Money, as well as the work of the Institute itself during the tenures of its first three directors: Alfred Kinsey, Paul Gebhard, and June Reinisch.

The digitised collection is enhanced with handwritten text recognition software. The AI-driven software is particularly useful when studying the handwritten letters and notes found in the Alfred Kinsey and Paul Gebhard collections.
