Free UKSG Further Education Webinar Series – The role of the library in enabling blended learning

UKSG are developing a series of short topical webinar sessions focussing on the Further Education community. The second in the 2022 series is ‘The role of the library in enabling blended learning’.

Each year these popular sessions, free of charge to FE staff, aim to bring together learning resources and library managers to share best practice and innovation in the management, delivery and support of digital resources and library services in the further education arena.

This two-part online event has been adapted from UKSG’s successful and long-running one-day seminar and aims to present a practical introductory overview of all aspects of e-resources management, encompassing e-journals, e-books and bibliographic and full-text databases. It gives attendees insight into the discovery services landscape, metadata and processes behind the scenes. The rise of open access and associated compliance requirements has created an increasing role for librarians in supporting pre-publication workflows for journal articles and other research outputs. It has also led research institutions to develop a widening range of services and systems to support publication and manage compliance. This online event is hosted over 2 half days.
