Kudos has announced the launch of targeted Research Briefings, and also a partnership with the Publications Division of the American Chemical Society.

Bridging the Divide sponsorship

The Publications Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and Kudos have announced that they are working together to explore and identify gaps in support for researchers’ efforts to achieve broader impacts of their research. ACS is sponsoring Bridging the Divide, a research project gathering input from researchers, university administrators, funders and others with a role or interest in ensuring that research engages and benefits audiences beyond academia.

Some sponsor seats for Bridging the Divide are still available; potential project partners are invited to register their interest as soon as possible by contacting colin.caveney@growkudos.com.

Research briefings

Kudos has announced the launch of targeted research briefings, to assist researchers in engaging with audiences including the media, practitioners, educators, industry and policy makers.

This new functionality is part of the latest release of Kudos Pro. Kudos Pro users can now create structured briefings for a range of different audiences. Guidance and examples are included, customised to each audience type. Briefings can be published and shared throughout the lifecycle of a project or programme, and can be distributed both by researchers and their colleagues, and via the Kudos Research Showcase.

In addition to adding targeted briefings to the newly launched Research Showcase – the new Kudos platform for presenting ‘in-progress research’ – Kudos will be developing syndication partnerships to extend the reach of this tailored content to optimise readership among these specialist communities.
