Delta Think has launched a community-wide survey targeting authors and researchers to evaluate the potential effects of U.S. federal research funding reductions. The survey examines anticipated impacts on publication output, peer review capacity, conference participation, research topics, and other professional activities.
Conducted in collaboration with nearly 20 scholarly societies, the initiative aims to collect evidence-based insights that can support societies in strategic planning and member engagement. The results will also provide scholarly publishers with systematic, quantitative data to guide scenario planning and policy response in an evolving funding environment.
Participating societies are distributing the survey link within their communities. All participants will receive a detailed analysis of the results, segmented by variables such as geography, career stage, and discipline. Societies may also request community-specific analysis from Delta Think or obtain the raw data for independent evaluation.
