Course summary
Each year this popular event aims to bring together learning resources and library managers to share best practice and innovation in the management, delivery and support e-resources in further education. This year the theme is ‘maximising value’. Further education learning resources and library services continue to reinvent themselves and e-resources and technology provide new ways to demonstrate value. Our presenters will give examples of how they have done this, with plenty of opportunity for interactions and questions. As in previous years, this event aims to attract enthusiastic participants ready to join in the discussions, share ideas, develop learning opportunities and leave inspired with practical ideas to improve their service.
Who should attend?
Learning resources/library staff in further education and sixth form colleges.
Learning objectives
Participants will have an opportunity to:
- Develop understanding of the role of e-resources in maximising the value of services
- Learn how other learning resources managers and librarians in colleges have tackled the challenge of demonstrating value to their college communities
- Hear how usage data can help to demonstrate value
- Network with others in a similar role to strengthen professional relationships
- Take away tips, techniques and strategies which you can integrate into your own service.

Feedback
Feedback from last year's UKSG E-Resources for Further Education event.
Came away feeling inspired by initiatives by colleagues, good for networking and subject area very relevant.
Exactly what I hoped it would be. The pace and transitions were excellent. Very well thought out.
Was a really interesting day and I learnt something new or picked up a useful idea in every slot.
This is still one of the best free events for FE and worth the journey from the South West.
