The next free UKSG webinar – Introduction to metadata quality: the approach of Europeana Collections – will take place on Thursday 22 November 2018 at 1330 GMT.
In this webinar Adina Ciocoiu, Libraries Data Specialist at Europeana, will introduce how Europeana works with the data that it receives from its partners, Europeana's recommendations regarding data quality, as well as how this data gets enriched and published on the web as linked open data. The focus of the webinar is to give the audience a glimpse into data quality from the Europeana perspective.
Registration
UKSG webinars are open to members and non-members of UKSG alike. The session will last 45 minutes, including questions and answers (up to 60 minutes maximum if there is sufficient demand for an extended Q&A), and is recorded, so those unable to make the live webinar should register as normal, and a link to the recording will be sent as soon as it is available. Anyone with particular accessibility needs should contact maria@uksg.org.
Feedback
Feedback from October's webinar:
"These webinars are an excellent way of getting easy access to experts in their fields. The information learnt can then be fed back at institution level and be used to improve not only the professional knowledge of the individual(s) taking part in the webinar but their institution as well."
