The Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) has welcomed Yale University Library as its newest associate member.
The library has had a digital preservation programme in progress since 2013. The library team is currently working to make emulation and software preservation ‘business as usual’ activities in which everyone doing digital preservation can easily participate, as well as considering plans to fund future activities around research data preservation, and managing challenges with automating preservation and maintaining access to research data.
The not-for-profit DPC is an international advocate for digital preservation, helping members around the world to deliver resilient long term access to digital content and services through community engagement, targeted advocacy work, training and workforce development, capacity building, good practice and standards, and through good management and governance.
