Jisc negotiates transformative agreement with the National Academy of Sciences: The ‘Publish and Read’ deal will allow UK corresponding authors at participating institutions to publish OA articles in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) without incurring any publication charges. Researchers at participating Jisc institutions will be able to access all PNAS content, dating back to 1915, for free. More here
Karger Publishers has offered German academic institutions a Publish and Read agreement covering the years 2021-2023. The Open Access (OA) agreement was negotiated, coordinated, and signed by the Bavarian State Library (Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, BSB) on behalf of higher education and research institutions across Germany. Royal Society of Chemistry has agreed deals with UNIT: the Arctic University of Norway, University of Bergen and University of Oslo are the first institutions in Norway to sign the deal – which enables their researchers to publish gold open access in any of our hybrid journals, at no further cost to the author. The agreement is for a two year uncapped deal. More here
SPIE announced a new open access agreement with the Netherlands' Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). The agreement began on 1 July 2021. This agreement adds open access publishing in SPIE journals for all affiliated primary and contact authors to the university's existing subscription. More here
