EARLL is hosting a free, in person event aimed at those who may be considering a career in special collections and engagement within academic and research libraries.
This is an opportunity to “think outside the box” in terms of library career choices and hear from those working in a variety of different roles, including some you may not have considered before.
Current practitioners from LSE Library will talk about their roles, career paths and tips for moving into the field. We will also host a panel of hiring managers from LSE’s Learning & Engagement, Digital Library and Collections Management teams to discuss developments in their field and answer your questions.
This is your chance to learn more about special collections roles, network with other early career librarians who share your interests and meet hiring managers to understand what they look for when recruiting for roles in their teams.
You will also get to view special materials from the LSE’s LGBTQ+ collections and hear about them from one of LSE’s curators.
This event is supported by UKSG via our 2023 Innovation Award
