Delft University of Technology has become the latest institution to join the Royal Society Publishing open access membership programme. The agreement will allow researchers at TU Delft to publish in open access journals Royal Society Open Science and Open Biology with costs covered by the institution at a discount.
The open access membership programme from Royal Society Publishing offers institutions a flexible way to support researchers to publish using the open access model, allowing them to meet funder requirements for the dissemination of research.
Royal Society Open Science publishes papers across all of science, including negative findings. The journal covers life sciences, physical sciences, mathematics, engineering and computer science. Articles in chemistry are peer reviewed by specialists under a partnership agreement with the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Open Biology was created in response to requests from scientists for a specialist open access journal publishing leading research in cell and developmental biology, molecular and structural biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, immunology, microbiology and genetics. It publishes research articles, reviews, invited perspectives, invited commentaries and comments.
