2019 programme of activities
The Digital Preservation Coalition has announced its new programme of activities for the coming year. The prospectus contains plans for returning publications, webinars, specialist briefing days, as well as other new activities and resources focused on a range of priority topics within digital preservation.
Identified by members through the latest DPC ‘Connecting the Bits’ online consultation, the activities respond to real and current issues experienced by the global digital preservation community, aiming to build the capability and skills to respond positively and effectively to emerging challenges.
World Digital Preservation Day
World Digital Preservation Day is on 7 November 2019, and the DPC is inviting all data creators, curators and consumers to contribute and prepare to share stories of their own 'digital preservation day'. Linked to the new edition of the BitList to be published on the day, this year the theme for World Digital Preservation Day will be ‘At-Risk Digital Materials.’
World Digital Preservation Day is open to participation across all sectors.
