Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, has announced that Tulane University has selected the Ex Libris Alma library services platform. The move to the new platform will enable the university’s libraries to unify the management of their electronic resources.
Migration to the cloud-based Alma platform and its integration with the Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution, which Tulane has been using for a number of years, should improve the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of the libraries’ operations for patrons both on and off campus.
Tulane was founded in 1834 in New Orleans, Louisiana, as a public medical college with the goal of combating yellow fever, cholera, and other tropical diseases. Today Tulane serves 14,000 students enrolled in 10 undergraduate and graduate schools.
